About Ashbourne Arts Limited
Ashbourne Festival takes place every June and July in our small market town of Ashbourne. It aims to bring the best possible classical and contemporary arts to the town. Ashbourne festival has hosted some of the best street theatre, musicians, comedians, artists and writers working in the region. It is a cultural oasis in a popular area that is still relatively isolated from significant art venues. The festival is now established as one the towns unusual mix of traditions, which include Shrovetide football and the Christmas Lantern Procession. The festival is created and managed by a dedicated and experienced team of volunteers, a unique situation within the East Midlands for a festival of this size. It has an excellent reputation with audiences, artists, performers and funding organisations.
