About Ashbourne Refugee Community Support Group
We are a group of passionate volunteers who aim to sponsor refugees to settle in our local community through the Home Office’s formalised and transparent Community Sponsorship Scheme We prepare for the families’ arrival, including finding housing, school places, healthcare, language lessons, translators and more. We then support them for two years as they settle in Ashbourne. To achieve this we work closely with Citizens UK, a registered charity who help organise communities to act together for social justice and the common good.
