About Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport
Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport is a not-for-profit charity established in 1989. We are a trusted provider of flexible, safe and caring accessible transport services to the rural communities of Bakewell, Matlock, Hope Valley, Buxton and Glossop in Derbyshire.
From our depot in Great Longstone near Bakewell, Community Transport operates across the Derbyshire Dales and High Peak areas around Bakewell from Matlock, Winster and Elton in the south; from Buxton in the west to the Hope Valley in North East Derbyshire up to Charlesworth and Hayfield in the north.
With a fleet accessible minibuses and over 70 drivers and support staff (who are full time, part time or relief and volunteers). Our primary objective is to establish and maintain, on a non-profit-making basis, a community transport scheme to improve the lives of ALL local people.
Our minibuses are instantly recognisable around the Derbyshire Dales and High Peak and we are a trusted provider of a wide range of transport services for all people who live in rural communities who may be disadvantaged by rural location, individual need, personal circumstances, isolation or social deprivation.
